Upgraded Stock Control at Footwear Specialist New Premises

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

As footwear specialist Amen Shoes move into their lovely new offices and warehouse, they have upgraded to the latest stock-take and barcode printing technology.

It’s great to have some good news in these uncertain times, and even better to see established Touchretail customers developing their business infra-structure. Since launching their new website a couple of years ago, Amen Shoes have continued to build a reputation as a leading retailer of quality branded mens footwear. To enable the company to maintain their excellent service levels for both instore and online customers, they recently moved into new premises which serve as offices, warehouse and distribution centre. The facility also houses backup stock for Unique Menswear, which is operated by the same owners.

The luxury of new warehouse space means that the main shoe brands each have their own bays and rows – as you can see from the gallery on the Amen Shoes client page.

New stock management technology

The larger warehouse space has enabled Amen Shoes to implement latest technology stock management. Touchretail have supplied a Nordic Morphic wi-fi hand-held terminal for stock-take and stock allocation at the warehouse. Barcode label and ticket printing has been improved by upgrading to a Zebra GX430 thermal printer. The new technology has been added to the existing Rapidstock inventory system at Amen Shoes.
