Bullfrogs has been in existence since 1989 when it was launched as a vegetarian Coffee Bar in Greenwich London. Bullfrogs began experimenting with fashion retail in the early 90's launching their first shoe store in 1992. A clothing store followed in 1995. In 1999 Bullfrogs moved the shoe store to larger premises in Greenwich and were nominated as best new store in the 2000 UK Footwear Awards. Both stores in Greenwich cater for men and women.

2003 saw further expansion when Bullfrogs opened a Clapham store combining all their clothing, shoes and accessories for men and women. In the same year they were nominated for The Best Combined Clothing and Footwear retailer. Bullfrogs fourth store was opened in 2006 in Battersea focussing on women's clothing, shoes and accessories. During 2007 Bullfrogs were voted Best Young Fashion Footwear Retailer of the Year in the Drapers footwear Awards.

Bullfrogs stock mix is always as diverse as the customer base they serve, combining well known brands such as Sugar, Camper, Converse, Fly London, Gola, Hush Puppies, K Swiss, Merrell and Vagabond with up and coming brands with their own, much loved Bullfrogs label.
