- Clerys Department Stores

Besides the main department store in O’Connell Street, Dublin Clerys have 3 home furnishings stores located at Leopardstown, Blanchardstown and Naas. Touchretail’s Retail Accounts software covers all branches.
The Retail Accounts software in use at Clerys includes all financial aspects (nominal, suppliers, customers accounts) and financial stock control (merchandise control).

Some of the special features utilised by Clerys are:
1. A substantial proportion of Clerys merchandise is paid for in £ Sterling (GBP) and US Dollars (USD). Retail Accounts handles all currency variations (for example merchandise may be purchased and then paid for at slightly different exchange rates).
2. Retail Accounts system handles several bank accounts in different currencies: Euro, GBP and USD.
3. Retail Accounts handles the different rates of Irish VAT and the reporting requirements which are slightly different to the UK (for example purchases for resale and other purchases are recorded separately).
4. Payments can be made electronically to any national banks, and to foreign bank accounts utilising IBAN and Swift numbers.
5. Collection of monies into Customer Accounts can be made by direct debit.
6. Several merchandise control reports were commissioned on Clerys behalf, which provide greater control over the day to day running of the business.
The links to Clerys EPOS system and to their furniture stock control system (FRS-net) are in place for future integration.
