EPoS Cashier Keyfobs

Introduction
The Touchretail Keyfobs are passed in front of the barcode scanner to log on the Cashier. There is no name or identity on the Keyfob – just a barcode (without the barcode number printed). It is a simple matter to allocate a Keyfob to each Cashier in Touchretail’s administration section.
Screen saver
The most costly element of a touch-screen EPOS terminal is the screen itself. This can also be the most likely part to fail because of the constant use in every transaction. Some analysis of why touch screens fail indicates that persistent use of a single point on the screen can lead the membrane to become worn at that point, so that the screen does not respond when touched.
The most repeated part of a day’s sales is the cashier Logon – and the cashier number and Enter keys are the most common areas of the screen to degenerate. Therefore the use of a non-contact Cashier Keyfob to log on should extend the life of the touch screen.
Security
It is often easy for staff to get to know other staff Cashier ID numbers that are used to log on to the till. This can cause to dishonest staff using other Cashiers’ ID numbers to input transactions such as Returns, Paid Outs and so on. By using Keyfobs, which are unique to each Cashier, the Cashier ID is bypassed at the till. So the Keyfobs can also improve security as well as speeding up the time taken to log on for each transaction.
At the introductory price of £18 for 10 Keyfobs these are proving very popular. To order your Keyfobs speak to any of the team at Touchretail.
