Shirley's charming store in Windermere is stripped back to its original 1800s décor and has an easy-going, calming atmosphere with no pressure to buy. Products are stored in well-ordered and accessible units, so that you can comfortably browse styles and find your size.

Shirley’s aim was initially to offer choice to other women who have difficulty finding fun, attractive and glamorous lingerie in larger sizes that is of good quality and fits well.

As the business grew, Shirley wanted to extend those services to all women needing specialist services, such as nursing (maternity) or pocketed (mastectomy) bras, control wear, or additional garments, such as hosiery and nightwear.

Having built up an enviable reputation for service and quality, Shirley C Lingerie seized the opportunity to expand their business when the unit adjoining their existing shop became available.

Shirley closed the business early in 2010 for the building work to be done. The larger and completely refurbished store opened in time for Easter. The business expansion included a new website from Visualsoft, and the introduction of stock control, EPOS and e-commerce integration from Touchretail.
