Thomas Moore is a long established family owned store in Exeter city centre that specialises in schoolwear, uniforms, dancewear and outdoor leisurewear (including camping equipment). Thomas Moore also has an extensive Toy Department, and is both a Toymaster and AIS (Association of Independent Stores) member store.

Having embarked on the implementation of new in-store systems in 2005, Thomas Moore were happy with their unit stock and EPOS systems but were struggling with their new accounting system. They contacted Touchretail during their review process and were impressed by the Retail Accounts system for Accounting and Management Reporting. Touchretail were also able to provide firm costings for implementation and support, which to Thomas Moore was an important part of the proposal.

By converting much of the static data from the existing system, Touchretail made the transition to Retail Accounts painless for the office staff at Thomas Moore – who now benefit from accurate management of customer accounts, purchase and nominal ledgers. Touchretail installed data imports to/from the unit stock and EPOS systems to enable monthly accounts and reporting from Retail Accounts, which provides management with accurate and reliable information for making their business decisions.
