In 1993, in a garage in Capo Beach, CA, founder Will Howard aimed to build a company that encompassed his passions for surfing, snowboarding, and riding dirt bikes. Enthusiasm and knowledge of the market bore Dragon’s first, and still primary, product - sunglasses. The company began distributing to local surf shops before expanding to Hawaii and Florida, and later Australia and other international markets.

Combine these two leading retail platforms and the retailer now has a winning multichannel solution to drive their business forward.
How TRIMS works with Shopify for Dragon Alliance
Products created in TRIMS with multiple variants automatically create individual items on the Shopify platform, a popular option for eyewear items where variants often differ in appearance. This differs slightly from apparel where sizes, and sometimes colours, are often bulked into one Shopify product that display with dropdowns to select the variants. TRIMS supports both of these modes.
Mappings are configurable between the attributes created within TRIMS and within Shopify, in Dragon’s case they have created and mapped attributes such as Description, Brand, Type, Colour, Lens Colour, Gender, Model and SKU. Changes to these attributes in TRIMS update the mapped attributes in Shopify, almost instantly. If used in a multichannel environment with bricks and mortar stores, this process means you are only having to import and amend products in one system with the changes being automatically pushed throughout all connected channels.
Sales and returns are automatically collected from Shopify and processed with TRIMS, adjusting stock levels accordingly, which again get pushed to all connected channels.
