The footwear department provides a wider selection of quality mens shoes than many dedicated shoe shops.
Having built up a good mail order trade over 20 years, Fields launched their online business to provide the same values of service and value to their online customers.

Requirement and Challenges
With such a wide range of products and sizes the unit stock control required a flexible system ideally with colour and size matrix. A proven track record of real-time integration with Fields website company (Visualsoft) was very important as Fields had decided to invest in the online side of their business to enhance future retail growth.
Data conversion from their legacy system was a strong consideration as it would be almost impossible to re-enter and re-ticket all existing stock.
As the legacy EPOS system data was unreliable a product import from Fields existing website data was seen as the quickest way to implement the new TRIMS system. Having done many product imports from Visualsoft previously this worked well and enabled a short period between signing the order and go-live with the fully integrated system.
Initial use of the legacy POS hardware was beneficial, as was Touchretail’s ability to incorporate Fields’ EFT account with VeriFone.
Software & Services
I needed an EPOS system which would integrate well with my website and Touchretail were recommended. Their TRIMS software platform is a good match for my menswear business and the ecommerce integration does what it says on the tin. I’m pleased with Touchretail and would recommend them to other multi-channel retailers.
