A destination store for discerning customers
Sitting in the shadows of the beautiful colleges and spires of Cambridge University, longstanding Giulio feels almost as iconic, and has been a destination store for discerning customers for over 35 years. Owner Giulio Cinque and his team curate a design-led and stunning individual collection from designers across the world. In 2011 Giulio started online trading after signing as an instrumental indie with the then fledgling Farfetch ecommerce portal. Within 2 years Farfetch accounted for 30% of Giulio’s business as the company geared up its multi-channel strategy.
A world-class multi-channel source for luxury fashion
The transition from bricks-and-mortar store to a world-class multi-channel source for luxury fashion from top designers required a world-class inventory platform to help manage orders and stock across all channels. The business processes had to incorporate development from high street to Farfetch integration, followed by the introduction of Giulio’s own Shopify website. And throughout this time the focus was to maintain the excellent customer service which is an essential ingredient of the Giulio offer, including the trusted high levels of order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
The Solution For Giulio
A progressive digital retail partner
The TRIMS platform was the obvious solution to help manage Giulio’s business transition throughout this important period of change. It was important to Giulio that their digital retail partner could work with the business through this period of change, and TRIMS was able to provide the path from an offline retail store to a fully integrated multi-channel business. The Touchretail implementation team utilised some existing hardware and helped with the development of back office procedures for the Giulio business.
