Established in 2012, Oxhouse Country Store offers a large variety of country apparel; from clothing, boots and wellingtons to feeds, beddings, fencing, and other agricultural and equestrian supplies. Set up as a “one stop shop for the equine enthusiast” they are nonetheless always looking to add exciting brands and products; most recently bringing shooting and hunting clothes, boots and cartridges to their offerings.

Their clean and spacious store stocks classic favourites like Musto, Hunter, Roeckl, Hoggs of Fife and modern collections from Ariat, HV and Jack Murphy to name a few. Knowledgeable staff are on hand to offer advice and make customer visits a genuine pleasure.

Requirement and Challenges

As a relatively new (but growing) business, when it came time to look at upgrading their equipment it was paramount for the Oxhouse team to find a system supplier that would be able to meet their current requirements whilst keeping in mind future expansion plans. It was also important to find an EPOS system that was ready to ‘plug-in’ to their new Magento website.

The ability for the supplier to provide an integrated Accounts platform which was flexible enough to handle their trade and account customers, was also important and a factor in selecting Touchretail.

Following their TRIMS set up, an export of the Magento site’s products were imported into the new stock platform and training was provided on site and also in-house at Touchretail’s offices where staff could learn in a little more depth how to get the best out of their new solution.

With the new EPOS and stock system in place and trading well under way, Oxhouse have continued to improve both customer choice and their own CRM with the introduction of the GCAS module (Gift Card / Accounts System) across their customer base, bringing together a single source of data for customers and purchases alike.

As we looked around for a suitable EPOS and Stock Control provider, Touchretail very quickly impressed us with their flexible, multi-functional system which has suited our particular focus and requirements extremely well. With the addition of integrated customer accounts we are able to service our trade customers with a level of efficiency well above what we were used to and this alone has proved to be a massive benefit to our working practice. Their customer support is truly excellent and everyone seems determined to help us get the very best out of our system – new features are added on a regular basis and it is good to know that our platform is benefiting from these improvements. We’ve formed a good relationship with Touchretail and look forward to what the future brings.
