July 30th 1966 was a special date in many ways. As well as a famous football match, Piccola opened their store in Epping that day and soon built a loyal following for the range, quality and value of their toys, clothing and gifts on offer. When Simon joined as second generation of the family business a second store was opened in Brentwood in 2010.

Plans to replicate their great products and service online combined with customer demand have seen the introduction of Piccola’s transactional website.

Real-time automated updating of stock availability

Sharing stock between the 2 stores was always manageable manually, but with the advent of the Piccola website a real-time automated updating of stock availability was required.

In addition, system access needed to be available from anywhere at any time, both for the back office and for regular sales reporting.

The power of and user-base for the TRIMS Magento Connector was instrumental in the decision to replace their legacy system with TRIMS, and has enabled the Piccola website to be linked real-time to stock availability so that order fulfilment is maximised.

TRIMS Vision automatically sends scheduled reports, enabling the business management to be fully informed of sales, profit and performance.

The installation was cost effective by utilising Piccola’s existing EPOSnow touch screen terminals.
