As the original Triathlon Shop (“back in 1996 the sport of Triathlon was very different, competitors still wore skimpy trunks and Aero helmets hadn’t been invented!”), TFN has undoubtedly always gone that extra mile with its customers and products, and prides itself on their expert knowledge, service and approachability. There’s not a lot they don’t know about the world of Triathlon and as a consequence TFN has become something of a hub for triathlon enthusiasts. Being passionate about the sport and having high quality brands with the latest technologies available to customers under one roof has seen TFN go from strength to strength and sees them consistently winning 220 Triathlon’s ‘Retailer of the Year’ awards.

Requirement and Challenges

TFN launched their first web presence back in 1999 and led the way with online offerings until their success meant they had to expand and upgrade their business systems to manage more effectively and keep abreast with modern EPOS and Stock Control technologies. With a multitude of diverse products and a multitude of brands, TFN had to make sure that any system would be able to handle the complexities of their product offering and be able to cope with literally hundreds of sizing, classification and categorisation ‘attributes’.

Touchretail’s Solution

After an extensive search, Touchretail was chosen to provide its EPOS, inventory management and integration with a new Magento website to help push the business forward. With mobile EPOS added to further enhance TFN’s presence at roadshows and trade events, Touchretail’s platform also has the necessary flexibility and scalability to cater for future expansion.

With several sports equipment, fitness and outdoor clients, Touchretail understands the often complex challenges this type of retailer faces in bringing their sometimes unique offerings to both the high-street and online environment.
