Requirement and Challenges

The Dressing Room had used a fashion EPOS system which was feature-rich but was built on technology which was becoming dated. The challenge was to upgrade to a new technology system but without any downtime either instore or online, and to migrate the detailed product, brand and season data to the new system.

Touchretail’s Solution

Although some older back office hardware needed upgrades, Touchretail were able to utilise existing instore POS hardware. Test data migration was done and the TRIMS support team liaised with Deryane’s website developers to ensure that ‘the-dressingroom.com’ would continue to work well with the TRIMS API. The objective of a seamless transition from older PC-based technology to the modern cloud-based TRIMS platform was achieved.
